Enquire is part of the People's Network and it instantly
connects you to library staff trained to help you find answers to
your questions. Best of all the service is free and anyone can use
it at any time!
Enquire is the only national service of its kind that is
delivered around the clock. It offers a live question and answer
service available 24 hours a day, every day. This works like
instant messaging or chat room technology, where you put questions
to trained staff who can help you, just as they would if you were
talking to them face-to-face or on the telephone. There's also an
email service if you don't need to have the answer straight away or
are accessing the service using a screen reader.
Helping people to find information is what libraries do. Now
they can do this through the web, helping far more people than ever
before. You can ask absolutely anything, and library staff will
help you to find the answer.
