Class Descriptions

Please note that many classes are for people aged from 14 year+ however classes which involve more weight bearing exercises are for 16+. For more information contact reception.

Exercise Class Description
Aerobic Combo
20 minutes aerobics, 20 minutes step and 20 minutes toning. Are you up for the challenge?
Aqua Aerobics
Exercise to music in the water. Reduced impact on your joints - great for all abilities and fun too (non swimmers welcome).
Circuits
Set around a series of work stations to improve fitness and to achieve a total body workout.
Core Strength Stretch & Tone Muscular strength and endurance class to tone and tighten the whole body plus dynamic stretching to lengthen muscles and improve flexibility. Upright & floor core stability work.
Hi-Lo Body Tone Suitable for new exercisers, seniors, those wanting to tone and lose weight
Studio Cycling
A brilliant cardiovascular workout and one of the most effective ways of burning fat.
Multi Fit
A great class that mixes up your workout  routine. Each week is different. Incorporating aerobics, TRX, circuits, core etc.
Rebounding/Bounce and Pump
Simple, but powerful moves are linked together and formatted on a small trampoline. One of the most effective fat burning sessions you will ever experience this side of a spin bike.
Stability Ball Body conditioning class using stability balls. 
Boxercise Punch your way to a perfect physique the fun way. Relieve tension and improve your fitness with this one hour challenge.
30 Minute Hit Short on time? With this class you get an hour's work out in just 30 minutes. It mixes high intensity CV with weight and toning training which is just as effective as an hour long workout
50+ Fitness A low impact and low intensity workout which incorporates exercise for both the upper and lower body.  This sessions is specifically for customers aged 50 years and over.
Tai Chi Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese form of co-ordinated body movements focusing on the cultivation of internal energy. Its aim is to harmonise the mind, body and spirit, promoting both mental and physical well-being through softness and relaxation.
Samurai Swords If you are new to martial arts then Mugai Ryu is an ideal way to focus and sharpen the mind.
Zumba Zumba involves dance and aerobic elements. Zumba's choreography incorporates hip-hop, samba, salsa, merengue, mambo, martial arts, and some Bollywood and belly dance moves. Squats and lunges are also included.
Yoga Hatha Yoga concentrates on posture, strengthening and stretching of muscles. It will help increase flexibility, muscle strength and endurance. It not only stretches the body but stretches the mind.
TRX Using TRX suspension training harnesses this fun dynamic workout builds strength, flexibility and endurance whilst burning calories and strengthening your core.
Triple Challenge Suitable for men and women of all fitness levels. Starts with 15 mins of cardio, 15 mins of core / strength and 15 mins of stretch.
Body Conditioning Suitable for all ages and abilities. This class combines body conditioning/thighs bum and tums and low impact aerobics.
Judo Session coached by British Masters Champion, Carl Holland. The session is suitable for all ages from 7yrs up to adults. All abilities welcome.
