Class Descriptions

Please note that many classes are for people aged from 14 year+ however classes which involve more weight bearing exercises are for 16+. For more information contact reception.

Legs, Bums and Tums The class is a full body aerobic workout that aims to tone up those flabby areas of your thighs, bum and stomach - great for those who want to lose weight or who simply want to increase their fitness levels with a motivated group of people.
Vinyasa Flow Yoga Vinyasa yoga is a series of poses that will move you through the power of inhaling and exhaling. Vinyasa movements are smoothly flowing and almost dance-like, which explains why it is sometimes referred to as Vinyasa Flow or just Flow. A Vinyasa class is both a great place to start and to continue challenging yourself.
Dance Active 8 Come and join the most stylish dance fitness class that is both social fun and easy to follow. Not just that, you will get a high calorie burn workout whilst singing and dancing to the most popular commercial music.
Aqua Aerobics Have a splash and tone up at the same time. The increasingly popular Aqua Aerobics is a great way to shape up whilst supporting your joints and muscles. Classes involve performing similar movements to land aerobics, but rather than standing on a mat getting hot and sticky you work out in shallow, chest-deep water.
Aerobics A series of dance style moves put together into a routine. Taught with both high and low impact level options, it will help improve general fitness and burn calories!! Suitable for all levels of fitness users from beginners to advanced.
Boxercise Boxercise is an exercise class based on the training concepts boxers use to keep fit. The class is aimed at men and women of all ages and fitness standards. it is a fun, challenging and safe workout.  
Indoor Cycling A highly motivating cardiovascular workout on a stationary bike. The quickest way to burn those calories in the shortest amount of time.
Pilates Based on the principles of re-balancing the body’s alignment. Pilates is a fusion of eastern and western philosophies teaching breathing, body mechanics, balance, co-ordination, strength, and flexibility. Focuses on core stability.
Tai Chi A class which is gentle and relaxing. Ideal for all ages and abilities and great for the older generation as it is low impact and low intensity. A great way to start the week!
