South Staffordshire Walking Festival

Great Wylrey Health Walk

We had a thought provoking programme of walks last year, each of which commemorated the outbreak of World War 1 and gave a glimpse of some of the feature rich historical buildings, canals and sites of South Staffordshire.

Many of you wished for more of these types of walk where local history would be revealed so walk leaders have created 16 that they would like to share with you at our Festival 2015 which runs from Friday 8th May to Monday 27th July.

All of our walks will be led by trained volunteers and they have once again gone the

extra mile to link some great walks with lots of information and stories, many of which

will be provided first hand by local historians.

There will be something for everyone, from walks for those who want to really stretch their legs, to walks for those of you who want a more sedate stroll, all with the added interest of yesteryear on route and at selected stops.

So, bring your family and friends, and don’t forget your camera, be invigorated in mind and body as you enjoy some fabulous days out in beautiful South Staffordshire; and remember, it’s all for free.
